Dow launches EVOWASH mechanical recovery aid to provide higher purity PCR

        To enable the transition to a circular economy model, Dow launches EVOWASH, a mechanical recycling aid that includes a range of industry-leading proven cleaners and defoamers designed to deliver superior PCR materials and raise the bar for recycled products to meet the most stringent quality standards.

        ◆Surface cleaning: 2.5 times more effective at removing adhesives than traditional cleaners.

        ◆Optical performance: Improves sheet brightness and reduces "yellowing" appearance.

        ◆Defoam Management: Reduce product usage by up to three times, which is cost-effective.

        ◆Odor Control: Reduce unpleasant odors.

        EVOWASH™ cleaners and defoamers are designed to provide the highest quality recycled plastics while maximizing the reuse of process water. The products have been successfully operated in recovery systems with discharge cycles of more than 7 days, ensuring that process wastewater complies with local regulations.

        EVOWASH™ includes two fully formulated, ready-to-use processing aids, EVOWASH™ Cleaner and EVOWASH™ Defoamer, which can reduce surface contaminants (such as adhesives) by up to 95% and provide higher purity resin in the final product while optimizing foam dosage, water circulation and cost.

        High-performance food-grade defoamer containing 30% silicone emulsion active ingredients, designed to control foam in hot alkaline aqueous systems present in the mechanical recycling process of PET, HDPE, LDPE and PP.

        Contains 90% active substances and is designed to maximize adhesive removal, improve optical quality, and reduce foam generation in hot alkaline aqueous systems present in the mechanical recycling process of PET, HDPE, LDPE and PP.
