White Horse Packaging Receives SGS's First EN15343 Recyclable Plastic Certification

        SGS (hereinafter referred to as "SGS") issued the first SGS EN15343 recycled plastic certification certificate to Yantai Baima Packaging Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Baima Packaging").

        EN15343 certification is a set of recycled plastic certification services with high traceability specially customized for Chinese companies by SGS based on the EN15343 standard issued by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). EN15343 certification helps improve the quality and credibility of recycled plastics, while enhancing the confidence of consumers and manufacturers in using recycled materials. To obtain EN15343 certification, companies need to prove that their recycling processes meet the requirements of the standard, including:

        In particular, Spain has clearly stipulated that from 2024, the content of recycled plastics contained in non-reusable plastic packaging exported to the country must be certified according to the UNE-EN15343 standard before applying for plastic tax exemption. According to Spanish regulations, UNE-EN15343 certification bodies must be accredited by ENAC in their own country or by an accreditation body in an EU member state. For product certification outside the EU, it must be performed by an agency that has an accreditation agreement with ENAC. It is worth mentioning that SGS Spain has obtained ISO17065 accreditation.
