Zhenhui Environmental Technology: Becomes the first authorized certification body outside of Europe

        On November 10, 2022, Beijing Zhenhui Environmental Protection Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhenhui Environmental Protection Technology") was recognized by the European Plastic Recyclers Association (PRE) and officially became an authorized certification body for the RecyClass recyclable certification project.

        Zhenhui Environmental Protection Technology has become the first third-party organization in China and the first outside of Europe to be recognized by PRE. It can conduct and review and issue RecyClass based on the plastic recycling and recycling system of "EU 27+3" countries (EU member states and the United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland) on a global scale. The recyclability and renewability certification of plastic packaging at the technical level and product practice level. The company's general manager Chen Junqing and project manager Zhang Ruolin have obtained the qualification of registered auditors for the RecyClass recyclable certification project.

        The cooperation between Zhenhui Environmental Protection Technology and RecyClass will help domestic brands and packaging supply chain companies to more conveniently and deeply understand the requirements of the European market for the recyclable and renewable design of plastic packaging products, and will help domestic packaging export companies to apply for more localized technical consultation and certification, and will help promote technical innovation and exchanges in the recyclable and renewable design of plastic packaging. At the same time, it also means that the Chinese localized recyclable and renewable design standard system and work jointly promoted by the China Synthetic Resin Association, CPRRA Branch and Zhenhui Environmental Protection Technology have been recognized by Europe, which is a technical route that can help industry companies achieve rigorous plastic packaging sustainability, achieve true plastic recyclable and renewable design, and achieve international development and dialogue.

        European Plastic Recyclers Association (PRE)

        PRE is the world's leading industry organization representing the voice of European plastic recyclers, working hard to promote and promote the recyclability of plastic products, thereby improving the quality of recycled plastics. It also provides guidance and suggestions for the industry chain to innovate and develop plastic products and packaging that meet the recyclable design guidelines.

        PRE draws on the definition and system of plastic recyclable design from the American Plastic Recyclers Association (APR), compiles and publishes the European version of the design guide, and launches the RecyClass platform. It focuses on providing evaluation, improvement and recognition of recyclable performance for corporate packaging solutions, and urges the plastic industry value chain to actively promote packaging design and production transformation to comply with EU policy and regulatory requirements. Make recyclability an element that needs to be prioritized in future packaging design.

        China's first plastic recycling design laboratory is under construction

        In March 2022, we jointly launched the "PET Container Packaging Product Recyclable Design Guide" and "HDPE Container Packaging Product Recyclable Design Guide" group standards that meet the characteristics of China's plastic recycling industry and are consistent with the international plastic recycling design thought system with the China Synthetic Resin Association and CPRRA Branch.

        In July 2022, the United World Standard Certification (WSF) launched China's first post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) traceability certification.

        As of the end of October 2022, RecyClass has announced that 9 plastic products have obtained product approval (Product Approval) that meets the recyclable and regenerative design, and 77 innovative designs have obtained RecyClass's technology approval (Technology Approval) that meets the recyclability and renewability.

        Currently, China's first plastic recycling and regeneration design laboratory is under construction.
