Application of PCR in logistics packaging

        Recently, Dow (NYSE: DOW), a leading global materials science company, signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Sealed Air, a leading global packaging solutions provider. The partnership aims to accelerate the application of post-consumer recycled resin PCR in the field of logistics packaging and enhance the value of plastic waste recycling and reuse.

        With the rapid development of e-commerce, the sustainable development of e-commerce logistics and product protection packaging has attracted much attention from all parties. Using Dow REVOLOOP™ post-consumer recycled PCR resin, Sealed Air China has recently commercialized its first air pillow packaging with a recycled plastic content of up to 95%, significantly reducing its dependence on virgin resin and thus reducing the carbon footprint of packaging.
