Wanhua Chemical's "Zero Carbon" Community Helps Achieve Carbon Neutrality

        Recently, the design plan of Wanhua Chemical's "zero-carbon" community project successfully passed the review of Yantai's clean heating pilot city ultra-low energy consumption building plan. The project is designed with the concept of "green, low-carbon, and humanized scale" and is committed to creating a low-carbon emission, healthy and vibrant, ecological courtyard-style employee dormitory and supporting facilities park. It is the first ultra-low energy consumption building complex in Yantai.

        Wanhua Chemical's "zero carbon" community project is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Yantai City, Shandong Province, with a total above-ground building area of 112,815 square meters. The project is designed in accordance with the national "Near Zero Energy Consumption Technology Design Standard" and meets the requirements of the "Shandong Passive Ultra-low Energy Consumption Residential Building Energy Saving Design Standard". It adopts photovoltaic power generation, solar water heating, ground source heat pumps and other renewable energy supply systems, high-efficiency energy-saving insulation systems and heat recovery systems, and is equipped with intelligent data platforms such as energy consumption management and air monitoring to achieve real-time monitoring of indicators such as energy consumption levels and indoor comfort during building operation.

        Through the use of a variety of energy-saving technologies, the "zero-carbon" community project will meet the requirements of near-zero building energy consumption after operation. The one-time energy consumption of heating, cooling and lighting per square meter of the building is within 50 degrees, which is more than 50% less than the energy consumption of conventional buildings. It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 2,000 tons per year.

        Technology empowers low carbon, and materials help environmental protection. The "zero-carbon" community project is another positive attempt by Wanhua Chemical to actively respond to the national carbon reduction strategy and create a green and low-carbon sample. It is also a systematic application practice of Wanhua Chemical's innovative building energy-saving materials in the field of ultra-low energy consumption, which has a positive demonstration significance for the development of ultra-low energy consumption buildings in Yantai City and even the whole country.
