Recently, the design of Wanhua Chemical's "zero-carbon" community project successfully passed the review of Yantai's clean heating pilot city ultra-low energy consumption building plan. The project is designed with the concept of "green, low-carbon, and humanized scale" and is committed to creating a low-carbon emission, healthy and vibrant, ecological courtyard-style employee dormitory and supporting facilities park. It is the first ultra-low energy consumption building complex in Yantai.

Singapore’s Alliance to End Plastic Waste and Switzerland’s Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) have announced their intention to launch what they call the Circular Plastics Fund. The fund aims to raise $500 million from institutional and other investors for scalable solutions to eliminate plastic waste from the environment, increase plastic recycling, and drive the global transition to a circular economy for the plastics value chain.

BP has signed a 10-year offtake agreement with UK-based clean energy technology company Clean Planet Energy (CPE). Under the new agreement, BP will receive output from CPE’s first plant, currently under construction on Teesside in northeast England, which will convert hard-to-recycle plastics into naphtha as a feedstock for the plastics circular value chain.

Veolia and Faurecia have formed a partnership that aims to use an average of 30% recycled plastic in car interiors by 2025, the French recycling company and the auto parts maker said in a joint statement.
