ROHM Group is adding a new product made from renewable raw materials to its EUROPLEX® brand specialty film series. The new product under development, tentatively named EUROPLEX® Film LJ 21123/123, is a highly transparent, high-gloss, stabilized PLA film based on polylactic acid (PLA).

In August, Wagamama, a Chinese fast food chain in the UK, launched a takeaway bowl made of crystallised PET (cPET). The cPET bowl was developed by industrial design consultancy Morrama, which has strong heat resistance, content protection and is recyclable.
