Delaware, Ohio-based industrial packaging producer Greif has announced new sustainability goals that reinforce its commitment to building a more sustainable and equitable future. Greif announced in 2021 that it aims to reduce scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 28% by the end of the decade, and Greif said its new sustainability goals set specific and measurable targets to build on previous announcements.

Recently, Israeli fresh produce packaging company StePac launched the Xgo Circular series of fresh produce packaging containing recycled polyamide 6. It is reported that the packaging was jointly developed by StePac and BASF, which provided it with recycled polyamide 6 (Ultramid-Cyled) made using chemical recycling technology.

Erema subsidiary Keycycle has acquired the trademark rights for the deinking technology of the Spanish company Cadel Deinking. The process removes printing ink from the surface of plastics, making them more suitable for recycling. Plastipak North America, headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, announced that Don Emiliano García-Page, president of the Castilla-La Mancha region, has officially launched a major recycling investment at its production site in Toledo, Spain. The company said the new recycling facility will convert recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) flakes into food-grade recycled PET pellets suitable for direct use in new preforms, bottles and containers.
